You do not need to be certain. A suspicion with a source is worth more to us than silence.

What happens next
We check the claim against the original source rather than against what we wrote. If you are right, the material is corrected and the change is logged publicly with the date, what it said before, what it says now, and why. If we think the original was right, we will tell you what we found and you are free to disagree in public.
Corrections are credited by name if you ask for it and left anonymous if you do not.
